Softball Recap: Fostoria Comes Up Short

Fostoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Otsego Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-1 back in April.

Fostoria's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Otsego, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Fostoria will welcome Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flyers will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Redmen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Otsego, they are taking a road trip to face off against Liberty Center at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
