Softball Recap: Hebron Has No Trouble Against Whiting

Hebron won the last time they faced Whiting and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Oilers. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly nine runs.

Hadley Donovan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Dujmovich, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Hebron and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Whiting, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron will venture away from home to square off against Boone Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whiting, they will head out to challenge Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Oilers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
