Recap: Calhoun Sandcrabs vs. Alice Coyotes
With a playoff game on the line, the Calhoun Sandcrabs rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over the Coyotes. The victory was familiar territory for Calhoun who now have five in a row.
Calhoun got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Parker out in front who rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 106 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Darrik Salinas was another key contributor, rushing for 56 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Calhoun has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Alice, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Calhoun will face off against Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Davenport is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Alice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
