Yale came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Memphis Yellowjackets. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-29), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Yale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adison Utter, who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Utter a new career-high.

Yale's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Memphis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1.

Yale has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Chippewa Valley on the 6th. As for Memphis, they will head out on the road to challenge Ubly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Yellowjackets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
