Football Recap: Lewisburg Comes Up Short

Lewisburg lost against Lafayette back in October of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots fell 31-20 to the Commodores.

Despite the loss, Lewisburg still got an impressive performance from Jacob Manns, who threw for 236 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. The Patriots' leading receiver Cael Riden was Manns' top target yet again, picking up 90 receiving yards and one TD.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lafayette to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamaron Pritchard, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of scores. Pritchard didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

Lewisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lafayette, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewisburg will host Center Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hernando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Commodores will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
