Basketball Recap: Stevensville Comes Up Short

Stevensville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Butte Central Catholic Maroons and fell 94-40. The Yellowjackets were probably out for revenge after losing 90-47 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tanner Brown was Stevensville's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Stevensville's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Butte Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 2-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Stevensville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-44 defeat against Corvallis on the 21st. As for Butte Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Frenchtown at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
