Soccer Game Preview: Atkinson County vs. Cook

The Atkinson County Rebels will take on the Cook Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Atkinson County came up short against Metter and fell 3-1. Atkinson County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Adamaris Trejo, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Cook was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to Tattnall County. That's two games in a row now that Cook have lost by exactly three goals.

Atkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Cook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13-1.

Atkinson County suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Cook in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
