            Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves vs. Williams Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Cedar Ridge was the  53-38 winner over Williams when they last played one another  back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves came up short against  the Williams Bulldogs on Friday, falling  57-31.
Despite the  defeat, Cedar Ridge had strong showings from  Kate Finnegan, who  posted six points in addition to six  boards and three  steals, and  Kassidy Tolliver, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11  points and nine  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Cedar Ridge  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williams only pulled down nine  offensive boards.
 Williams' win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Ry'Leigh Surles, who  went 6 of 11  en route to 18 points and five  assists. Those five  assists gave  Surles a new career-high.  Jordyn Taylor was another key player,  going 5 for 10  on her way to 11  points and four  steals.
Cedar Ridge's record now sits at 5-7. As for Williams, they moved to 8-6 with that  win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
 Cedar Ridge has  already played their next  matchup (against Person), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Williams wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  56-50  victory against Vance County on the 20th.
