Baseball Game Preview: Highland Bulldogs vs. Lancaster Eagles

For the second straight game, Highland will face off against Lancaster. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Highland's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Lancaster has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Highland easily dispatched Antelope Valley on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bulldogs fell just short of Lancaster by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday.

Nick Gonzales was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Cole Studt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1.
