Basketball Recap: Lake Worth Takes a Loss

Lake Worth lost against Burkburnett back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lake Worth Bullfrogs took a blow against the Burkburnett Bulldogs, falling 92-60. The Bullfrogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-35.

Lake Worth lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being De?Jay Black, who went 5 for 6 en route to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Green, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Lake Worth has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Burkburnett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Lake Worth will head out to face off against Krum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season. As for Burkburnett, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burkburnett knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Bridgeport likes a good challenge.
