Football Recap: Glacier Starts Season with Win Against Billings West

Glacier had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 14-10 W over the Billings West Golden Bears on Friday. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Wolfpack were the (much) better team in the second half.

Leading Glacier to victory were Asher Knopik and Jackson Presley. Knopik rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, while Presley rushed for 65 yards on only six carries. Those 112 rushing yards gave Knopik a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Glacier will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Bozeman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Billings West, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Great Falls at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
