Basketball Recap: Jada Parson Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Centennial lost to Vero Beach back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Centennial Eagles blew past the Vero Beach Indians 61-38. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Indians are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jada Parson, who posted 32 points. Those 32 points gave Parson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jailyn Williams, who had 18 points.

Centennial now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vero Beach, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-34 win against Palm Beach Lakes on the 12th. As for Vero Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-23 defeat against Jensen Beach on the 12th.
