Softball Recap: Port Allegany Finds Home Field Redemption Against Kane

There's no place like home for Port Allegany, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Kane Wolves with a sharp 17-2 win on Wednesday. Considering the Gators have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sienna Lathrop was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Errick, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Port Allegany always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Port Allegany's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Kane, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Port Allegany does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kane, they will venture away from home to square off against Youngsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
