Volleyball Recap: Hartford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hartford entered their match against Slinger on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Orioles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls. If the Orioles were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Owls when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hartford started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 25-15, 25-10.

Grace Burton paced Hartford's offense, picking up 12 kills. Burton got some help from Lydia Krasselt and her 14 assists. Kora Kirsch controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Slinger found their leader in sophomore Brooke Zoromski, who had 18 digs and two aces. Allie Beers also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hartford suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-5. As for Slinger, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Hartford will head out to challenge West Bend East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Slinger, they will challenge Arrowhead at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
