Volleyball Recap: Jayla Johnson Key Part of Team Effort in Golden Aces Win

Mt. Carmel won the last time they faced Paris and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Aces walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Aces.

Mt. Carmel easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mt. Carmel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayla Johnson, who had seven digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Mattie Armstrong, who had five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Mt. Carmel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
