It was a good run, but Marion unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Inman Inman Teutons. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Inman Teutons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hitch Soyez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Jameson Looper, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Inman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marion beat Inman by a score of 11-10 later that day.
