Softball Recap: Huntsville Hornets vs. A&M Consolidated Tigers
Huntsville was the 9-1 winner over A&M Consolidated when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Huntsville lost 15-2 to A&M Consolidated on Tuesday. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Tuesday.
Huntsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Sanders, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Even though they lost, Huntsville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. This was only their second loss (out of eight games) when they post two or more strikeouts.
Huntsville now has a losing record of 10-11. As for A&M Consolidated, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-5.
Coincidentally, Huntsville and A&M Consolidated will both be playing Rudder the next time they take the field. Huntsville will host Rudder at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while A&M Consolidated will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
