Football Game Preview: Cherokee Trail Cougars vs. Grandview Wolves + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Logan Posey and Chris Blanks are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cherokee Trail Cougars will face off against the Grandview Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee Trail is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Cherokee Trail is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Eaglecrest, who was ranked 17th at the time (Cherokee Trail was ranked 22nd). The Cougars took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raptors on Friday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Rayshon Stanley, who picked up 36 receiving yards and two TDs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grandview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past Smoky Hill to the tune of 40-6 on Thursday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 28 points or more this season.

Grandview pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games. As for Cherokee Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Cherokee Trail and Grandview were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but Cherokee Trail came up empty-handed after a 14-13 defeat. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
