Soccer Recap: Providence Grove Comes Up Short

Providence Grove managed to slip by East Davidson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 5-1 to the Golden Eagles on Monday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Providence Grove were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Kevin Bautista, who's now up to 17 this season.

Providence Grove's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-6. As for East Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11-2 record this season.

Providence Grove wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Wheatmore on the 22nd. As for East Davidson, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Thomasville on the 22nd.
