Volleyball Recap: Mount Si Wildcats vs. Bellevue Wolverines
Mount Si was the 3-1 winner over Bellevue when they last played one another back in October, but their luck changed this time around. The Mount Si Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bellevue Wolverines on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bellevue scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 18-25, 25-17.
Taylor Showalter paced Mount Si's offense, picking up 15 kills. Showalter got some help from
Carissa Zwiefelhofer and her 28 assists.
Aubrey Gibbs controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Mount Si now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Bellevue, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
