Softball Recap: Heide Trask Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Heide Trask had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Whiteville on Friday. The Titans never let the Wolfpack get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Dava Bullard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Bullard was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Heide Trask let Lauren Hall and Cheyenne Saunders run wild. Hall went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Saunders went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Peterson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Heide Trask was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Heide Trask is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Whiteville, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-13.
