Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Sycamore's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Sycamore lost to Morris back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Everything went the Sycamore Spartans' way against the Morris Redskins as the Sycamore Spartans made off with a 67-41 victory. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Redskins are ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sycamore has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Morris, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Sycamore will face off against Rochelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rochelle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matches. As for Morris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaSalle-Peru at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
