Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wyoming Valley West). They walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Hazleton Area Cougars on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Wyoming Valley West considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Stella Wojciechowski and Nora Keating scored all five of Wyoming Valley West's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Wyoming Valley West's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7-2 and their overall record up to 2-10-2. As for Hazleton Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

Wyoming Valley West wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-1 loss against North Pocono on the 7th. As for Hazleton Area, they will head out to square off against Dallas at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
