It was a good run, but Nitro unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rachel Tucker, who had 11 digs and two aces. Zoe Hyatt was another key player, getting 14 digs.

Leading Calvary Baptist Academy to victory were Bella Deel and Ellie Russo. Deel had 11 digs and one assist, while Russo had nine digs. That's the most digs Russo has posted over her last nine matches.

Nitro's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 28-5.

Nitro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Westside on the 18th. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, they will welcome Victory Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
