Basketball Recap: Torrington Falls Short of Pinedale in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Torrington can now relate to. They came up short against the Pinedale Wranglers on Saturday, falling 65-44. The Trailblazers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

It was another big night for Elyn Bowers, who shot 67% from the field en route to 30 points along with five assists and five rebounds for Pinedale. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Bowers has scored at least a third of Pinedale's points. Alyxis White was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Torrington's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Pinedale, their win bumped their record up to 24-3.

As of now, neither Torrington nor Pinedale have any future games scheduled.
