Atascadero had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Tulare Western Mustangs on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Greyhounds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.

Atascadero found their leader in freshman Cara Howes, who had 18 assists and five digs.

Atascadero was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive contests.

Atascadero's victory bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Tulare Western, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-20 record this season.

Atascadero will take on Reedley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tulare Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
