Recap: Achievement First Providence Falcons vs. Central Falls Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to the Achievement First Providence Falcons, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were beaten by Central Falls 70-28 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Achievement First Providence has scored all season.
Central Falls got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamilson DePina out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DePina has scored all season. Moises Maldonando was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Achievement First Providence dropped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Central Falls, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.
Achievement First Providence will head out on the road to challenge Moses Brown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Falls, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Ponaganset at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Ponaganset is ranked 33rd, while Central Falls is ranked 25th).
