Softball Recap: DeWitt Takes a Loss

DeWitt made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Beebe, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dragons fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. The Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Kimberly Hornbeck and Harley Grammer did some serious damage despite the final result: Hornbeck went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Grammer went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

DeWitt's record is now 1-3. As for Beebe, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

DeWitt and Beebe will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Dragons see the field they'll take on Des Arc at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Beebe, their break will end when they face Parkview at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
