Recap: Millington Central Trojans vs. Bolton Wildcats
The Millington Central Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with an 82-74 victory over Bolton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millington Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tayshaun Dye, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. Dye continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Aiden Maclin was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds.
Millington Central's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Bolton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Millington Central will be home for the holidays to greet Jackson Central Merry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson Central Merry is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Bolton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Benedict at Auburndale at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
