Volleyball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Fowler

Caruthers came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Fowler, but McKenzie Monis wouldn't allow it. The Redcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blue Raiders on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2 thanks in part to Monis, who had 13 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Fowler was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-8.

The victory made it two in a row for Fowler and bumps their season record up to 17-10-1. As for Caruthers, they dropped their record down to 14-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fowler is set to square off against their familiar foe Yosemite at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Caruthers will face off against rival Chowchilla at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
