Game recap: Chino Hills High School Football Team takes down South Hills

CHINO HILLS, Calif. - Chino Hills (Calif.) jumped out to an early lead against South Hills (West Covina, Calif.) and never looked back on the way to a 56-7 victory on Saturday.

The Huskies put up 14 points in the opening frame. Chino Hills scored on a rushing touchdown and a touchdown pass by Thomas Zorrilla.

CH was up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.

The Huskies expanded their lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. Chino Hills scored four times in the third, including once on a Matthew Simko touchdown pass to Jack Austin.



Benny Garcia played well for the Huskies. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.

CH's standout player in the win was Chazz Eldridge. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.

South Hills' lone touchdown came on a 3-yard run by Garcia in the second quarter.

The Huskies entered the contest giving up 28.4 points per game this year.

Chino Hills also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 36-13.

The defeat comes as a step back for South Hills, which notched a 45-27 victory over Ayala in its previous outing. With the win CH extended its winning streak to four games.
