Volleyball Game Preview: Widefield Gladiators vs. Mesa Ridge Grizzlies

Widefield hasn't had much luck against Mesa Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Gladiators will look to defend their home court against the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m.

Widefield came up short against Palmer on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-18, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Mesa Ridge got the win against Harrison on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Mesa Ridge won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 25-22.

Mesa Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Widefield, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Widefield might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Mesa Ridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Gladiators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
