Basketball Recap: Chapin Eagles vs. River Bluff Gators

Chapin lost against River Bluff back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chapin Eagles lost 63-43 to the River Bluff Gators. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Gators are ranked 20th).

River Bluff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yasir Cromer, who posted 17 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Cooper Jones, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Chapin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for River Bluff, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.
