On Wednesday, the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons faced the Richard Montgomery Rockets in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bethesda-Chevy Chase came out on top against Richard Montgomery by a score of 55-47. The win was just business as usual for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, who after four games remain undefeated this season.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elisha Robinson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with four steals. Robinson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Petersen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Richard Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase will be home for the holidays to greet Springbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Springbrook is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
