Baseball Recap: New Bremen Falls Short of Marion Local in the Playoffs

New Bremen and Marion Local squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but New Bremen had to settle for second. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flyers. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Flyers: they've now lost three in a row.

New Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Marion Local, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

New Bremen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marion Local, they will face off against Elmwood at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Flyers surely won't give up without a fight.
