Baseball Recap: Sparkman Wins Going Away Against West Union

Sparkman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt West Union on Friday. The Sparkman Senators put the hurt on the West Union Eagles with a sharp 13-1 win.

Sparkman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for West Union and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Sparkman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Christian Brothers on the 14th. As for West Union, they have also already played their next match, a 13-1 victory against Houlka on the 17th.
