Basketball Recap: Minisink Valley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Minisink Valley came into Friday's game having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Monticello Panthers 53-51. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 56-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Minisink Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Monticello, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minisink Valley will take on Pine Bush at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Monticello, they will square off against Downsville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
