Corona had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Arlington Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

While Corona won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-8, 27-25.

Arlington's loss came despite strong showings from Amelia Heydari and Omari Ramirez. Heydari had 11 assists and eight digs, while Ramirez had 11 digs and two assists.

Corona's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Arlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Corona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Summit on the 26th. As for Arlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hemet on the 21st.
