Lincoln is 5-0 against Bear River since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Lincoln Fighting Zebras will look to defend their home pitch against the Bear River Bruins at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln has three straight wins, Bear River has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Lincoln's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Colfax with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Fighting Zebras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Arturo Fuentes and Isaac Guzman scored all three of Lincoln's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Bear River's offense. They came up short against Mira Loma on Friday, falling 11-0.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Bear River, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Lincoln beat Bear River 3-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will Lincoln repeat their success, or does Bear River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
