Recap: Centennial Knights vs. Northview Titans
The Centennial Knights were the 63-38 winner over the Northview Titans when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The New Year welcomed Centennial with a 64-37 whooping from Northview on Friday. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Northview is ranked 144th).
Centennial's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Diamond Leslie, who scored 14 points, and Tatiana Oquendo who scored 14 points. The match was Leslie's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Centennial's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-11. As for Northview, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on North Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northview, they will play host again and welcome Kell, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
