After a string of five wins, Cuba City's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Platteville Hillmen. The Cubans were not able to make up for their loss to the Hillmen from their previous meeting back in October of 2018.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Maya Misky paced Cuba City's offense, picking up 17 kills. Misky got some help from Emersyn Niles and her 30 assists. Trina Redfern controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Maggie Grabandt went supernova For Platteville., getting 12 digs and five aces. That's the most digs Grabandt has posted since back in September.

Cuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Platteville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Cuba City has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Southwestern on the 9th. As for Platteville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Richland Center on the 7th.
