            Baseball Recap: Sierra Timberwolves vs. Linden Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Sierra was the  10-2 winner over Linden when they last played one another  back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves came up short against  the Lions on Wednesday, falling  9-3.
Sierra got a good showing from  Koa Rodrigues, who   pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Furthermore,  Rodrigues didn't allow a single  walk, the first time  he has blanked an opponent  over his last five  matchups.
 On the hitting side, Sierra saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Anthony Chapman Jr., who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.  Ricardo Anaya also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Sierra has  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record  this season. As for Linden, their win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 14-4.
 Looking ahead, Sierra will host Patterson  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Linden, they will challenge Calaveras at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
