Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Skyline walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 67-44 margin over the West Panthers on Wednesday. The Eagles have beaten the Panthers the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Skyline's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Wilson, who went 8-for-10 en route to 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Wilson has become a key player for Skyline: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 5-9 otherwise. Beau Bierman was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Skyline was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They racked up six more assists than West's also-impressive total of 11.

When it comes to explaining why West lost, don't look at Phillip Ladua. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points in addition to five boards and four blocks. Another player making a difference was DC Auksitino, who posted nine points.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Skyline will face off against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season. West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
