Basketball Game Preview: Cocke County Fighting Cocks vs. Northview Academy Cougars

The Cocke County Fighting Cocks will square off against the Northview Academy Cougars on Wednesday. Cocke County will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

On Monday, Cocke County got the win against Seymour by a conclusive 61-35. Given the Fighting Cocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Eagles are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Northview Academy beat Scott 37-30 on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Cocke County's victory bumped their record up to 28-6. As for Northview Academy, their win bumped their record up to 29-4.

Cocke County strolled past Northview Academy when the teams last played last Monday by a score of 64-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cocke County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
