Basketball Game Preview: Wolfe County Wolves vs. Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs

Wolfe County hasn't had much luck against Hazard recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolfe County Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wolfe County easily dispatched Jackson City on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Wolfe County fell just short of Letcher County Central by a score of 68-66 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolves have suffered since December 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Hazard's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 44-29 bruising from Danville Christian Academy. The match marked the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hazard's defeat dropped their record down to 19-2. As for Wolfe County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Wolfe County took a serious blow against Hazard when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 77-32. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wolfe County was down 52-18.
