Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Eagles vs. Mynderse Academy Blue Devils

Wayne is 1-9 against Mynderse Academy since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wayne Eagles will face off against the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m.

Wayne is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Bloomfield, falling 61-40. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 598th, while the Bombers are ranked 157th).

Meanwhile, Mynderse Academy didn't have too much trouble with Midlakes on Thursday as they won 48-33.

Mynderse Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Wayne came up short against Mynderse Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 41-37. Can Wayne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
