Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Comes Up Short

If St. Paul's Episcopal was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Citronelle last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Academy Rams on Thursday. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Edward McLeod made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

St. Paul's Episcopal's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-8. As for Faith Academy, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

While St. Paul's Episcopal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
