Mater Dei remains unanimous No. 1 in Top 25 composite high school football rankings

St. John Bosco hangs on to No. 2 spot despite getting tested in 27-26 Trinity League opening win.

While consensus No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana. Calif.) was rolling in its Trinity League opener, No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) was in dogfight most of the night before pulling out a 27-26 league win over Servite (Anaheim, Calif.).
The rest of the composite Top 10 held serve. McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.) is the only new team to crack this week's rankings. The 5-0 Indians jumped in at No. 24 after 53-15 win over East Coweta.
Only schools recognized by two or more media outlets are eligible for
inclusion in the composite rankings. Teams were assigned a score of 40
for each media outlet that did not recognize them as part of their Top
25, rewarding teams that received consensus acclaim.
