After a string of three wins, Palisades's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the East Mecklenburg Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Palisades started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-15, 15-10.

Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for East Mecklenburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Palisades and East Mecklenburg will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Pumas see the court they'll take on Providence at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for East Mecklenburg, their break will end when they face North Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.
