Soccer Recap: Rockwall Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Rockwall has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Royse City Bulldogs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellowjackets came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 416th).

Rockwall's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Royse City, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 3-5-2.

Coming up, Rockwall will be playing at home against Rockwall-Heath at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Royse City, they will challenge Tyler Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
